Cascades is contracting Enerquin to provide a high dew point hood, process air and heat recovery systems for its Bear Island mill in Ashland, Virginia. These systems will provide an optimal and efficient drying environment for Cascades’ major machine rebuild project.
Paper Machine No. 1, originally designed to produce newspaper, will be upgraded to produce high-quality, lightweight, 100 percent recycled linerboard and medium grades for the North American market. The start-up is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2022.
“We are extremely pleased to have been selected by Cascades for this key project. Our experience and track record in complex rebuilds coupled with the proven design of our high-performance hood and air systems will help to ensure a successful project.” says Lawrence Yane, Sales Manager, Enerquin.
